Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER), popularly known as Bharath University, is a deemed-to-be-university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Established in 1984 as Bharath Engineering College, it is part of the Bharath Institute of Science and Technology group under the Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust.
