BITS Pilani Courses & Fees 2026

The tuition fee for all the courses, including FD, HD, and MBA is the same. The semester fee for all the courses is INR 2.75 lakh. For PhD, the BITS Pilani fees stands at INR 27,500 per semester. BITS Pilani Admission 2026

BITS Pilani admission 2026 to First Degree Programmes is based on BITSAT. Students who are board toppers of respective state or central board are eligible for direct admissions. The University also admits international students based on SAT score. Besides this, students holding GATE or GPAT scores are also eligible for ME or M.Pharm admission. The University also conducts BITSHD test for Higher Degree programmes admission.

Eligibility Criteria for Higher Degree Programmes

• Candidates need at least 60% marks in their qualifying BE/B.Pharm degree exam.
• Admission to all ME and MPharm programs is based on BITS HD test scores or valid GATE/GPAT scores.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA

• Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline with a minimum 60% aggregate and having studies atleast one subject in Mathematics or Statistics at 10+2 (or higher level). 
• Selection to BITS Pilani MBA admission in Business Analytics is based on Business Analytics Aptitude Test (BAAT) score. Thereafter a PI is conducted. Final Selection is based on performance in BAAT, PI, CAT/ XAT/ GMAT (if available).

Eligibility Criteria for Doctoral Programmes

• ME/MTech/M.Pharm/MBA/M.Phil or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.

OR

MSc/BE/B.Pharm or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination

• For admissions to Humanities and Social Sciences, candidates with an MA degree and a minimum of 55% aggregate may apply.
• Candidates shortlisted for the department of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics will be required to write a test. Candidates with M.Phil / ME / MTech or with National level fellowships like CSIR NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, UGC NET-JRF etc. are exempted from writing the test.

BITS Pilani Scholarships 2026

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani offers a wide range of scholarships to support meritorious and financially needy students. The institute ensures that deserving candidates are not deprived of quality education due to financial constraints. BITS Pilani Scholarships are awarded semester-wise and are renewable based on performance.

1. Merit-cum-Need (MCN) Scholarships

Every year about 30% of students admitted to First Degree Programs get semester tuition fee waivers in the range between 15% to 100% in the form of either merit or merit-cum need scholarships as tabulated below:

2. Alumni Supported Scholarship

BITS Pilani also provides additional financial support through alumni contributions. These are Full/partial tuition scholarships funded by alumni. INR 50,000+ annual awards for selected students. 3. Based on BITSAT Scores

The University offers tuition-blind admissions for the top 500 BITSAT rankers. Eligible candidates with an annual family income of up to ₹20 lakh will receive a full tuition scholarship for all four years, subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at their respective campuses.
