I recently visited BM Group of Institutions (near Farukhnagar, Haryana) to attend a job fair hosted at their campus. Overall, it was a positive and insightful experience with both highlights and areas of improvement worth mentioning. 📍 Location & Accessibility The college is situated on the outskirts of Farukhnagar village, which makes it slightly challenging to reach using public transport. If you're traveling from Gurgaon, buses drop you at the main road leading to the village. From there, you need to hire a local taxi service to reach the Farukhnagar bus stand, and then again a taxi or auto to the college. Traveling via Manesar is even more difficult due to limited connectivity and reliance on local transport options. ➡️ Recommendation: It's best to reach the campus via private vehicle for a smoother journey. 🏫 Campus & Facilities The campus was clean, organized, and well-maintained. Although not very large, the college provides a canteen, practical labs, and decent classrooms. I also had the opportunity to try the hostel mess food, which was surprisingly better than average, especially compared to typical hostel meals. 💼 Job Fair Experience The event promised participation from 50+ companies, but in reality, around 15–20 companies were present. Big names like Hero, Paramount, and Maruti were listed, but—as is common in many such job fairs—they did not attend. Despite this, the fair provided opportunities with smaller and mid-sized companies that aligned with various qualifications and skill sets. 👥 Staff Support What truly stood out was the supportive and proactive staff. The team, especially Savita Ma’am and her colleagues, were extremely helpful. They guided students patiently, addressed queries, and encouraged everyone to apply for roles that matched their background. Their dedication made the experience smooth and welcoming. --- Final Verdict: Despite a few logistical challenges and unmet expectations regarding company turnout, the event was well-managed and worth attending, especially for freshers. The hospitality and effort from the college staff made it a great learning and networking experience.
