CEPT University Scholarships and Financial Aid

CEPT University offers a comprehensive range of scholarships, assistantships, and fee waiver programs to support its students, demonstrating a commitment to recognition, excellence, equity, and diversity. Financial aid is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as specialized doctoral research fellowships. These supports are broadly categorized into pre-admission scholarships, which include merit-based and means-based options, and post-admission support like research fellowships and teaching assistantships.

Pre-Admissions Means-based Scholarship	Awarded to students from among eligible applicants, based on income documents shared. Students with family income less than Rs. 10 lacs per annum are eligible. Recipients continue to receive the scholarship for the full duration of the program, provided they maintain the academic performance specified in the scholarship award letter (e.g., minimum 2 SGPA in every semester and completing all courses in the first attempt). Students must undertake that they are not recipients of any other government/private scholarships or grants or benefits. In case of manipulation of family income, the University holds the right to cancel the scholarship.	20% to 100% tuition fee waiver	Applicants can apply for means-based scholarships on the online admissions portal after they have submitted their admission application. If the student fulfills the Means eligibility criteria, they can submit the scholarship form along with the application form. The pre-admission scholarship application can be filled simultaneously with the program application, after making the payment for the program application.
Pre-Admissions Merit-based Scholarship	Awarded based on the student’s merit position at the time of admission, securing top merit rank(s) in the merit list. Recipients continue to receive the scholarship for the full duration of the program, provided they maintain the academic performance specified in the scholarship award letter (e.g., minimum 2 SGPA in every semester and completing all courses in the first attempt). Students must undertake that they are not recipients of any other government/private scholarships or grants or benefits.	20% to 100% tuition fee waiver	Offered along with the admission offer letter based on standing in the admissions merit list. The pre-admission scholarship application can be filled simultaneously with the program application, after making the payment for the program application.
CEPT University PhD Tuition Fee Waiver (Research Phase)	PhD students, on successful completion of coursework and advancing to the research work phase.	75% waiver, making the fees payable Rs 95,000 per year till the submission of dissertation.	Awarded upon successful completion of coursework and advancement to the research phase.
CEPT University PhD/MPhil Scholarship (Teaching Assignments)	PhD and MPhil students. Continuation is subject to satisfactory performance, evaluated periodically, and availing fresh teaching assignments (15-20 hrs/week) every following semester.	INR 38,000 per month (subject to change), for the first six months of the mandatory coursework against teaching assignments (15-20 hrs/week).	Offered against teaching assignments as allocated by the respective Faculty.
President’s Scholarship (Doctoral Programs)	Applicants for all Doctoral Programs (PhD in Architecture, PhD in Planning, and PhD in Technology). Selection is based on performance during the admission process. One seat is available in each faculty.	Rs 40,000 per month during the coursework residency period and full tuition fee waiver.	Apply for the Doctoral Program; selection is based on admission performance.
CRDF-CARBSE Doctoral Research Fellowship	Applicants of the Doctoral Program at the Faculty of Technology, in the stream of Building Energy Performance (BEP).	Monthly stipend ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹70,000, depending on the candidate’s prior experience.	Apply for the Doctoral Program at the Faculty of Technology, BEP stream.
CEPT University PhD/MPhil Tuition Fee Waiver (Initial)	All admitted PhD and MPhil students.	Partial tuition fee waiver (50%), making the fees payable Rs 1,90,000 per year (from Rs 3,80,000).	Automatically offered upon admission to PhD/MPhil programs.
CEPT University Teaching/Research Assistantships	Students (general). Doctoral students outside the fellowship programs have an opportunity to work on campus as teaching or research associates or tutors.	Remunerated roles / paid.	Students are encouraged to take up these assistantships.
ARRA Scholarship	Academically and socially inclined Indian students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate education in leading institutions across India. Recipients continue to receive the scholarship for the full duration of the program subject to maintaining result in top 15% in their class. Students must undertake that they are not recipients of any other government/private scholarships or grants or benefits.	Fully funded scholarship	-
