I am currently studying at Chitkara University in Rajpura, Punjab, and staying in the **** hostel, where the fees amount to ₹60,000 per semester. I would like to provide a review of the hostel experience. Unfortunately, one significant issue in the **** hostel is the presence of rats. Despite reporting the issue to the management and the response from the management was absolutely nothing , and has been to suggest that the problem will resolve on its own and to recommend that students use rat catchers. This situation has caused inconvenience, as students have had to deal with rats entering their rooms, affecting both their belongings and health.Currently, as my exams are ongoing, the rats' presence is becoming even more disruptive. It is extremely challenging to focus on my studies with the constant distraction of rats in the hostel. This situation is frustrating, especially considering the high fees being paid for accommodation and the lack of adequate action to address the issue. Moreover, the university's fee structure raised concerns. For the first semester, which lasted from August 17, 2024, to December 20, 2024, I was charged ₹60,000. However, the 1st semester was only approximately four months long, and the university required students to pay the fees for the next semester by December 20. This meant that we paid an extra ₹20,000 for the remaining 2 months of the semester. This extra charge affected not only me but also other students in the hostel, as there are around 140 rooms in the **** hostel. The cumulative extra amount paid by students in the hostel amounted to nearly more than ₹10,00,000 to ₹20,00,000. Considering the number of hostels on campus, this extra money could have amounted to crores across the university.Additionally, there are several issues with the university's facilities. Study tables often make disturbing sounds, and the almirahs are damaged in the hostel . The university also imposes fines for minor infractions, such as wearing cargo jeans, and there are autorickshaw drivers overcharging new students i faced this so many times. I encourage prospective students to carefully consider their decision before joining the university, and to gather feedback from current students through social media or other reliable sources to make an informed choice.

Had a great experience attending a conference at Chitkara University. The campus is well-maintained and the event was very well organized. Communication from the university was smooth. Though it's a bit far from Chandigarh city, the quality of the experience makes it worth the trip.

It is one of the most famous private University in North India. You can pursue any kind of undergraduate and post graduate degree. The placement is very good in this university especially the computer science and engineering department.

Chitkara University is a private university which is located in Punjab. I visited there as a guest with my father for judging the projects of Human Resource Management Students. Its a huge space area having hostels , A huge Canteen , Parks , Indoor and Outdoor Sports ground, a research centre , start-up area , lobby , separate sections for Arts , Craft, Language classes , Auditoriums , computer labs , classrooms. The best concept of them was using waste materials to make best out of it and exploring new ideas having great impact on the visitors and students visiting there. It was a great learning experience there and I really enjoyed everything about the University.
