To be honest, I didn’t like the college much when I first joined — maybe it was the new surroundings, the pressure, or just adjusting to a different phase of life. But over time, things started to change. What really made a difference was the people. I’ve made a lot of amazing friends here, and that completely changed how I felt about the campus. It started feeling more like home. The campus itself is peaceful and green, with good vibes all around. Facilities are decent, and the academic side is solid once you get into the flow. With the support of friends and helpful faculty, I began to enjoy the experience much more than I expected. This place might not win you over at first glance — but give it time, and it might just become a place you’ll miss someday.

College of Engineering Kottarakkara (CEK) offers a decent academic environment but comes with certain location-related drawbacks that potential students should be aware of. One of the major concerns is its remote location, as the campus is situated quite far from the city center. This isolation can be challenging for students, especially since there are no shops or hotels nearby. The lack of amenities around the campus means that students must rely heavily on the college canteen for meals and basic necessities, which may not always be convenient. Surrounding the college are vast areas of cashew trees, which add to the serene, natural atmosphere but also contribute to the feeling of being disconnected from urban life. While this might be appealing to those who appreciate a quiet, nature-filled environment, it can be limiting for students who prefer more accessible amenities and social life. In conclusion, while CEK has its strengths in terms of academics and a peaceful environment, the remoteness and lack of nearby facilities might be a downside for some.
