Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, also known as DBRAIT, is a prominent government technical institution situated in Port Blair, South Andamans. With a rich legacy dating back to its establishment in 1984 as a government polytechnic, it was upgraded and renamed in 2010 with the introduction of degree programs. The institute is affiliated with Pondicherry University for its degree offerings and the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) for its diploma programs, ensuring its curriculum aligns with recognized standards. The institute is set on a spacious campus spanning 46.8 acres in Old Pahargaon, providing an environment conducive to learning and growth. DBRAIT offers a diverse range of technical programs at both undergraduate and diploma levels. The College offers diploma & degree courses in engineering & maritime programmes. The college is having well-maintained infrastructure & peaceful environment for the betterment of the students.

Campus has great infrastructure with all necessary facilities and equipment. Classrooms are wide and clean . It created a learning environment. The entire campus is lush green and maintained properly . Wifi is superfast . The campus environment is attractive and motivative as well. Huge library with all necessary books available also good. I feel it is the best campus.

Being retired Professor I never thought of witnessing such pathetic conditions of only Technical College at Port Blair.Though I never taught there but did some analysis on the condition of college and was shock to know that nepotism is high over there and indeed those buttering person who polish the shoes of big B are enjoying at campus.
