Student Reviews & Testimonials
Some beautiful glimpses of Kannauj medical College.
Pretty good to see...Department of Surgery doing some quality work here ....many people are unaware of the fact that ...u can be operated here almost at minimal Government charge of 250 to 750 Rs. (depending on type of surgery).. for many major and minor surgery for Gall Bladder stone, Hernia, Hydrocoele Pathology services are pretty fast...u can expect results of most of the test on next day or sometime within that day. Pathology charges are very minimum Emergency services are not upto the level of a Medical College....there is no facility of emergency x-ray till may 2018(the least one can expect from a tertiary care centre) emg usg, emg CT scan or emergency OT services. USG(Ultrasonography) is done on Tuesday and Friday. No for various departments are Medicine 87 Obs n Gynae 43 Orthoprdic Surgery 37 General Surgery 32 Dental 104 Ophthalmology(Eye) 91 TB n Chest 83 Dermatology (skin) 85 Ear Nose and Throat 123 Paediatric 122 Pathology 175 Microbiology Lab 143 HIV Testing Centre 59 Scarcity of services (for a long time there was not even a properly working glucometer in the emergency...) leads to poor doctor patient relationship and doctors are often falsely accused of improper treatment and forced referral Being a new medical college...campus is awesome. Rooms are pretty spacious. Campus is provided with Central Bank of India inside the campus without a proper working of ATM services(obviously) You don't get to see many good places to eat outside the campus till now...(hoping for a better future) College is well conected to major highways...Lucknow Agra Expressway is 2 kms away....Kannauj at GT Road is about 12 kms away...nearest railway station is Kannauj. Distance from Kanpur Medical College(GSVM), Lucknow Medical College(KGMC) and Saifai Medical College is 90, 125 and 110 kms respectively. Dealing with pateint (specially their realatives) is far more important to learn than actually treating the patient with your pride and safety constantly at risk. Safety is a major issue for both the genders...and if you are a male doctor be mentally prepared for false accusations of molestation and harassment.(do not expect any sort of security from college security guard....be at work at your own risk) OPD services are from 8 to 2 PM..
