I used to think government hospital are not maintained properly. But I was partially wrong. The pictures speak for themselves. It was maintained clean by the hospital team during this pandemic. It is upto patients like us who have to keep the place clean. There were all kinds/ranges of patients here when my family got treated. All the nurses and doctors were cooperative. 1. Unavailability of western type toilets was a big hindrance for elderly patients. 2. Waiting room for attenders could have been better since there were no chairs. 3. Government can plan to improve the facilities like beds, toilets, the flooring in common areas to have better aesthetics.

In my opinion, in this year 2025, many hospital staff — including staff nurses in the wards and casualty, cleaning staff, and security guards — are basically uneducated about true patient care. They do not seem to understand the patient’s condition, the seriousness of their situation, or the reason people come to a hospital in the first place. I genuinely feel that they are lacking in basic manners and empathy, at least in my experience here in Tamil Nadu. Last week, my father was admitted to this hospital. He was diagnosed with an acute cerebrovascular accident (stroke) with hemiparesis. However, the hospital staff did not seem to care about his recovery at all.For example, I’ll tell you one specific reason for my frustration: they clearly documented in my father’s case sheet that certain medicines were administered, but in reality, nothing was given to him. The same false information was just copied and pasted by some house surgeons. I have no idea what is really going on there. Sometimes I feel they are nothing but so-called educated idiots. To make it even more ironic, their visiting card proudly states: “Avoid bribery and stand tall with courage and pride.” Shame on these people, their incompetent management, and the entire flawed system. In my opinion, this is the worst hospital in Tamil Nadu, run under the GOVERNMENT. Actually I will give zero star. But without star it couldn’t to be posted.
