The campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore is truly breathtaking, spread over more than 300 acres of lush, green land. Though the terrain is quite hilly, the internal roads are well-constructed and seamlessly connect all parts of the campus. In some areas, staircases connect buildings situated at different elevations, enhancing both accessibility and aesthetics.The campus is not only scenic but also well-equipped with various facilities. It houses an SBI bank branch, a temple, a comprehensive library, multiple mess facilities, and several cafeterias spread across different areas. The academic block, where classrooms are located, stands out due to its circular architectural design. This block is built across three levels: Ground, Level One, and Level Two. It is divided into several sections, labeled alphabetically as Blocks A, B, C, D, and so on.Though the classrooms have been around for a while, they are well-maintained and include acoustic walls, much like those in other top business schools. Each classroom is designed in a stepped or tiered structure, allowing students at the back to have a clear view of the board and the professor. They are equipped with all the fundamental teaching facilities and can accommodate over 50 students comfortably. Each block also has dedicated lifts, washrooms, and easy access to nearby cafeterias.The academic block is centrally located and well-connected to essential facilities like the mess, library, and administrative offices. There is even a dedicated transport office from where students and visitors can request electric buggies to travel to other parts of the campus. These buggies make navigating the hilly terrain convenient and eco-friendly.
