How to Apply for IIT Bombay Hostel Accommodation 2026

Students admitted to IIT Bombay can apply for hostel accommodation by completing the institute's admission and hostel registration formalities. Follow these steps:

  1. Activate your IIT Bombay login ID through the Computer Centre portal.
  2. Log in to the ASC Portal and complete your personal details and required declarations.
  3. Print the pre-filled Hostel Registration Form and affix the required photographs.
  4. Pay the Semester Mess Advance (SMA) before the notified deadline to avoid late fees.
  5. Receive your room allotment details via the welcome email sent by IIT Bombay.
  6. Report to the Common Registration Desk (near Hostel 1, Old SAC parking lot) with your Hostel Registration Form to collect your room keys.
