This Hospital is a old civil Hospital of Nagpur city and famous Landmark named as Mayo hospital, as this Hospital was named after Vicoroy of India Lord Mayo. After few years of Independence Government Medical college was started here and hospital and college is named as Indira Gandhi Medical college and Hospital. But people still call this Hospital as Mayo Hospital. Office of the Civil Surgeon of Nagpur District is also located here. Hospital is in the heart of Nagpur city and just few minutes away from Nagpur railway station. All type of emergency and medical services are available here 24×7 except for MRI scan .

A typical Government hospital. I've been visiting this place daily for almost a month now for a training related to PSA under Skill India. You can see the MSB personnel everywhere in the campus right from the entrance.
