Review of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology Currently I am in my 4th semester and pursuing B.Tech in CSE from this college. The college is located in a pretty isolated area with only a few places to hangout or eat nearby. The saving grace is that the Rithala metro station is located just 6 km away from the college which makes connectivity possible for students coming from far away. There are a total 0f 9 blocks, 7 of which are for MAIT and 2 are for MAIMS(management) and an administration block.. There is an on campus boy's hostel, a sports ground, badminton court, 2 auditoriums, one main canteen and one back canteen. The college infrastructure is pretty good but the college doesn't make use of it to its full extent (The director does not allow students to organize events in the Main Auditorium; Students are often not allowed to play in the sports field; The Library doesn't store books to it's full capacity, etc.) The faculty is pretty good and helpful, provided that the student is willing to learn. What I have learnt in my 1.5 years in this college is that you don't really need to be a genius or study regularly to score well in the exams. You can score good marks if you start studying two weeks before the end sems and 4 or 5 days before the sessionals. The pattern of the paper keeps on changing so you can't really rely on the previous year papers all the time. There are a few societies which are active (Aayaam :the Dramatics Society; Aura : The Western Dance society) Besides this, the college is not very culturally active (No official freshers, no inter-college technical competitions or sports tournaments) It's safe to say that Fest is the biggest event of the year (which is also not THAT good :P) The college crowd is pretty decent as compared to other IP colleges but obviously not that great as compared to DU. Placement is average. Infosys and Accenture are the mass recruiters and offer a maximum of 3.2 lakhs p.a. Hope this helps! :D (If you have any other query then comment and I'll try to clear it out :) )
