NIT Sikkim Admission Process & Eligibility 2026

NIT Sikkim admissions are conducted through entrance exams, followed by relevant counselling processes. Here is a detailed overview of entrance process for various NIT Sikkim courses:

BTech Admissions: NIT Sikkim BTech admissions are based on JEE Main score, followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates must score a minimum 75% aggregate in PCM in class 12th to be eligible for BTech admissions into NIT Sikkim. 

MTech Admissions: MTech admissions into NIT Sikkim are based on GATE scores, followed by CCMT counselling. Eligibility criteria includes a minimum 60% aggregate score in relevant subjects in class 12th. 

MCA Admissions: For admission into MCA programs in NIT Sikkim, students must qualify IIT JAM exam and appear for CCMN counselling. Eligibility criteria includes scoring a minimum 60% aggregate in relevant subjects in class 12th.

    NIT Sikkim offers two scholarships: the National Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students and the National Overseas Scholarship Scheme for ST Students. Both require SC/ST/Pwd students to have an annual family income below ₹1.00 lakh for a full tuition fee waiver.
