What a beautiful and dynamic campus i have ever seen in my lifetime. Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Naliniprava Tripathy mam, the institution is scaling its heights.Truly known as the campus on the clouds, it has everything which you want. Right from scenic beauty, calm and soothing environment, rich academics, good food, sports and some really master of gem faculties.Coming to IIM campus was always a dream for me and thanks to IIM for giving me the opportunity to do the course, “Executive Program in Healthcare Management” which allowed me to sit in the classroom and attend life empowerment lessons from the world best class teachers.IIM Shillong is no less than other IIM”s. Thanks to Director mam and the whole faculty for truly making it what IIM really stands for!!

As someone who teaches here, I often find myself struck by how different IIM Shillong feels compared to other management institutes. Its not just the crisp mountain air or the way sunlight filters through the pine trees but Its the way this place grows on you not just sharper business minds but more thoughtful, grounded leaders in tranquillity of nature.There is a presence of rhythm to life here with a blend of rigorous academics and quiet reflection. Classrooms buzz with discussion,debates, case studies, and real world pinching problems. Here there is enough spaces where students learn to pause and consider the deeper impact of business decisions. Many of my colleagues bring years of experience, yet what stands out is how approachable and always willing to mentor beyond the curriculum and syllabus. Availability of great mind with handholding attitude is a plus.What truly sets IIM Shillong apart is its heart for the Northeast and beyond. Through initiatives like our APJ,IIMSFIE students dont just study management and business. They are found to engage with local communities, understanding challenges unique to this region while preparing for global roles. Sustainability is not just a lip service and buzzword here. Somehow it is embedded into how we think, teach, and even live.The students make this place come alive. Whether it’s organizing festivals, managing placements, or brainstorming startups, given real responsibility with not just to pad their resumes, but to grow into leaders who can collaborate, adapt, and inspire. And when industry leaders visit or when we partner with international schools, there is evidence of a energetic sense that our students aren’t just preparing for the future but creating and shaping it.The campus itself a haven where ideas seem to flow easier. Late-night study sessions in the library, impromptu discussions over tea coffee snacks in the hostels. Also not to talk about sunrise point nongjirong and even the occasional weekend hike. it helps to clear the mind and after all adds up to an experience that is much about self discovery beyond materialistic growth.At its core IIM Shillong is not only about teaching business or teaching management. Eventually nurturing a certain kind of human being who thinks boldly but acts responsibly. Someone who thrives in boardrooms but never loses sight of the human side of everything. And as a faculty member I feel that is what makes me proudest watching students re-bouncing back after every setbacks and leave no stone for their passion and ambition. I feel anybody comes here not just for a B school degree or management education but to transform into a persona with immense courage,values,resilience and conscience! Cheers!!

This is still under construction IIM (as on May 2022). Far away (approx 20+ KM) from Police bazar main market of shillong. There is no market or shops around, just one student mess with basic food. No public transport available.

I visited there to attend #Emerge2K17 Event - Entrepreneurial summit. it was knowledgable & most importantly i enjoyed the whole day with students, expert panel & also visited their campus. #LovedIT
