After securing around 50k rank in KCET without much preparation, I knew I couldn’t get into top B.Tech colleges. So I decided to go for the B.Sc. (Hons) program at RV University, and I also received a 50% merit-based scholarship. At first, I thought RV University and RVCE were the same, but later I realized they are different institutions. The good part is both are in the same campus — seeing RVCE students around gives me motivation and sometimes guidance. Positives: They don’t teach outdated syllabus. Faculties are quite good. Location is motivating since RVCE is in the same campus. Negatives: Construction work feels never-ending. Being a young university, the fees are high. Placement records are not strong yet. Overall, RV University is a good choice if you want modern programs like Data Science and are ready to invest in building your skills for the future.

As a student, I feel the overall experience here is very good — the faculty, teaching, and environment are all excellent. However, considering the high fees, it’s disappointing that there’s no proper air conditioning in the classrooms. It gets really uncomfortable during summer.
