This Institute is for the science and arts students. My father was a student when class 11 and 12 was taught here way back in 1977.my father passed out from here in 1981 as graduate. This is in location near habra and ashokenagar. It is near railway gate no 2.Many profeessor at that was gold medalist.

Sree Chaitanya College, Habra ( NAAC accreditation B++) is one of the best colleges in North 24 Paraganas. It is situated beside Jessore Road, is about 40 km from Kolkata. This college was established in 1956 under University of Calcutta and from 2008 it is affiliated under West Bengal State University. This college offers Honours courses in 14 subjects and General Courses in 18 subjects. There are PG in Chemistry, Bengali and Anthropology. The college has three shifts; Morning, Day and Evening. The college offers distance education courses for UG and PG through the study centre of Netaji Subhas Open University. The science departments are well equipped with most updated laboratories and scientific instruments. Most of the departments have their computers with internet facilities. The college also has NCC and NSS units. The college campus is huge with lots of gardens and greenery.There is a good hostel for boys. The alumni of the college are successfully engaged in various sectors in India and abroad.
