Student Reviews & Testimonials
Good educational institutes in Chittoor
The place of the college is perfect for public transport travellers Also the infrastructure is nice Even the environment is clean 👌. Overall a clean and average college
⭐ My Honest Experience at SVCET, Chittoor (B.Tech Data Science, 2021–2025) ⭐ I completed my 4-year B.Tech at SVCET, Chittoor (2021–2025). If you’re thinking about joining this college, here’s an honest and detailed review to help you make an informed decision. 📚🎓 💼 Placements SVCET is a Tier 3 college, so keep your expectations realistic. For our batch: Only a few companies visited for placements. Cognizant Technologies selected just 4 out of 428 applicants. Many students couldn’t apply due to supplementary exams. Most students had to find jobs on their own. The college mostly gave credits or certificates to those who missed placements. You can check the official SVCET Instagram for placement updates. 📉 🏢 Infrastructure Labs: Poorly maintained with many non-working computers. Running syllabus programs can be a struggle. 🖥️❌ Classrooms: Extremely cramped. Imagine 4 students sharing a single bench! No proper seating space. Projectors: Many don’t work during lectures, making learning difficult. Washrooms: Often dirty with a strong garbage smell. 😷🚽 Auditorium: Seating capacity and comfort are below expectations. Canteen: Very small, overcrowded, and overpriced for the quality offered. 🍽️💸 Drinking Water: Poorly placed and insufficient for the number of students. 🏠 Hostel Life Water supply is available for only 1 hour early in the morning. 🚱 No Wi-Fi connectivity inside the hostel. 📶❌ Food quality is very poor—sometimes better to stick to bread and jam! 🍞🍯 Overall, the hostel experience is one of the biggest challenges here. 📌 Important Things to Know Before Joining Faculty: Some professors are knowledgeable and helpful, but many lack proper teaching skills or motivation. Don’t expect personalized attention. 👩🏫👨🏫 Extra-Curricular Activities: Limited opportunities and poorly organized events. If you want to grow outside academics, you may have to look elsewhere. 🎭⚽ Internet & Connectivity: College Wi-Fi is either weak or unavailable in many areas. Rely on your own mobile data. 📱 Transportation: Public transport is available but not very convenient. Many students depend on personal vehicles or college buses. 🚌🚗 Library: Decent collection of books but lacks digital resources or updated materials. 📚 Student Support: Limited career counseling or mental health support services. You need to be proactive for your own growth. 🌟 Positives Affordable fee structure compared to Tier 1 and Tier 2 colleges. Offers a variety of engineering branches including emerging fields like Data Science. Some faculty members and seniors are supportive and helpful. Location in Chittoor is peaceful and less crowded than big metro cities. ⚠️ Final Thoughts SVCET can be a stepping stone if you’re determined and ready to face challenges. However, if you expect top-tier placements, excellent infrastructure, and comfortable living conditions, you might want to explore other options. Visit the campus yourself, talk to current students, and weigh your priorities carefully before joining. Hope this helps future students make an informed choice! 🙌✨
