Student Reviews & Testimonials
The best girls college in Shillong! It has a beautiful campus with beautiful flower garden and tall trees! The library is beautifully built with modern looks inside as well as in the outside! They have huge collection of books & well organised in their respective places! When it comes to academics yes its very good & in other activities too! And you will see most of the pretty girls study in this college and also the teachers are beautiful & smart! Being girls we get attracted to them!😉 And I very much like the way they conduct the assembly because no matter where you are, what you do, when they start the morning prayers & sing songs you are must to stand still in your respective place! And no doubt the gatekeeper is so strict than anybody in the college, he makes sure that we do behave good inside the campus & must wear our ID! This college located near the other institutions of Shillong, near the Don Bosco Square where the most people always be there, the regular shops and many good reasonable restaurants are nearby too & you get taxis very easily to go anywhere! So, I am happy being a part of this girls college! Once a Marian, always a Marian! ✌️
Nice college with highschool for girls, faculties are good even the nature surroundings is preferable for studies. Beautiful surroundings. Medium of conversation is usually english. NAAC re accredited 'A' college. ugc recognised under section 2f and 12b. Hostels are there at reasonable price , even admission fees is very cheap but the quality of education is good enough. It is mainly by sisters, even private hostels for girls are there. NCC is there as extra curricular activity.
As good as it is, it still lacks many requirements. Like a decent common room, adequate space, mics that actually work, better canteen food, a library that does not leak, etc etc. In regards to the staffs and the education given there, they're all too notch✌️.
Not me, but friend of mine faces discrimination because of not being a local. They harass her and others who are not khasi differently. Their mistakes are hilighted and even marks are cut down to a great extent. One of the students is literally deceived into paying 2k extra fees. The administration is pathetic and doesn't maintain a record of the students who have paid the fees. The office is literally open for the 3 hours during which the students have class and then they ask others to leave because they either want to have lunch or go back home. If you are not Khasi, don't bother, take a drop year but don't come here.
