Techno India University located in Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata, and the heart of IT in Eastern India, is a sprawling campus with a wide range of subjects and dedicated faculty members. It began its journey in 2012 and had been the brainchild of Prof. Goutam Roychowdhury. It is now going for a major expansion all over India, and would hopefully find overseas outlets. The University has truly lived up to its reputation of providing quality education at affordable rates to students not only from Bengal, but also from other parts of India. In keeping with this spirit of dedicated service, it has roped in educationist and mentors from the academia, industry and the civil services. Recently, the University hosted a gala event by conferring Dronacharya Award to deserving educators and Principals from different higher educational institutions in West Bengal. It had been extremely fruitful and was quite an exposure to an entirely brave new world of smart technology and artificial intelligence that have become bywords of the contemporary educational scenario. Considering the heady atmosphere and the tempo of the event, it is earnestly hoped that Techno India University would go a long way towards fulfilling the demands of providing quality education to all in the immediate neighbourhood and beyond. It would certainly transcend the conventional educational boundaries and become a Global Knowledge hub in the near future.

Good private college in the city with good faculty. I have been here for past 5 years. I did my BCA and MCA from here. And i must say the HOD of our department, Dr. Anil Bikash Chowdhury is the most knowledgeable person i have ever seen in my life. I love this university. This is my second home. They offer a great number of courses . They also offer specialization courses too. All the departments have their own cultural meet and apart from that they also have their annual cultural program - Sahotsava. They have freshers too. Overall its a good university with good facilities. Atleast my department has the best faculties.
