Nestled in a serene and lush residential campus, the university provides an ideal environment for focused academic pursuits. With excellent sports facilities, a swimming pool, a health center, and yoga classes, it promotes a healthy balance between academics and recreation.The campus houses around 5,000 students and is well-secured with vigilant security guards. A unique feature is the prohibition of motorized vehicles for students within the campus, encouraging a sustainable and eco-friendly atmosphere where most students use bicycles for commuting.The university is also a pioneer in sustainability, being the first academic institution in the North Eastern Region to install a MW-scale rooftop grid-connected Solar PV power plant, showcasing its commitment to renewable energy and environmental responsibility.Tezpur University is structured around four main schools—Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Management—along with various specialized centers and cells that cater to diverse academic and research interests. However, being located in a relatively remote area away from the main town, access to good restaurants and shops for daily needs can be a challenge.While the university excels in providing a conducive academic environment, there is room for improvement, particularly in the area of student placements. Enhancing industry connections and offering better placement opportunities would significantly add value to the university’s offerings.Despite these minor challenges, Tezpur University is a great place for higher education, offering a peaceful environment, quality education, and a strong foundation for research. It has the potential to become one of the leading institutions in the country with continued focus on improvement.

One of the most beautiful University campuses in India. Greenery here and there. Well maintained, all praise to the management. A large University in the heart of Tezpur city.If you are a visitor, first you have to register at the security office. They will give you a pass, keep it safe. Visitors can drive any vehicles inside the campus. Students cannot bring their vehicles, they have to use bicycles inside the campus because of the pollution and accident control inside the campus. The university is providing bicycles inside the University. University bus service is also there.Academics is very good. Best place to have higher and professional education. Have large labs for research. Classes are very good, well maintained.Student life here is very peaceful and calm (except academic pressure). So many places to roam around and hang out (alone/with friends).Hostels for boys and girls are inside the campus only. Hostels are well maintained and have enough rooms and facilities.University have large playgrounds for football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, indoor courts for table tennis and badminton, and a large swimming pool. Also a large gym. Faculties and students can access at any time. For cultural programs, many auditoriums and convention centres.For refreshments, hotels, restaurants, cafes and small cool bars are there inside the campus. Good food at an affordable price.

One of the best central universities in India. Pleasant environment, serene natural beauty, a great place to walk into, great hospitality and awesome service. I had gone there for a 3days international conference on my research topic. I fall in love with this place within those three days. I want to visit there again regarding my work. Its a great pleasure to stay here. Guest house, food, any kind of all day activities will only make you happy.I highly recommend Tezpur University.
