The college is very nice. The inside of the college is quite big and surrounded by trees. There is a big pond and a small pond inside the college. There is also a large field. Inside there is hostel for both boys and girls. The interior is very nicely decorated and arranged. There are many shops outside the college from where you can eat everything like rice, tea -biscuits, bread ,chowmin, roll and many more. Stay- *You can stay in the hostel of the university or if you want, there are many messes outside the university, you can also stay there. Location - To go here you can get down at Barasat Station or Barrackpore Station. If you get down at Barrackpore Station, you have to take an auto from there, "auto fare 13 rs" *One or two rupees may be more* .From where auto will drop you, you have to take toto again to get down to university. Toto fare 10- 20 rs. . And if you are coming from Barsat Station then you have to walk from Barsat Station along Pioneer Park Road to Hela Battala, it will take you 10 minute to walk. Then take a bus or auto from there and get down at Jagannath Kalibari, then take an toto from there and get down at the university. " Auto fare 13 rs. " * You will come to Hela Battala and go to the auto stand there and ask whether you will go to the state university.

The University campus is pleasant. But it's far from any nearby cities , but you'll get available public transport and the road condition is also good. The behaviour of the staff and the professors are great, they're very very friendly and helpful .

From Barasat Railway station take a toto till Helabattala. Then take a bus till Kajibari or University gate. From university gate or kajibari take a toto till University. It takes about 30 minutes from Barasat Station to WBSU. No direct transport. But there is enough totos and buses available. But there need to wait for fillup of 5 passengers in auto and toto. So time consuming. The University is big and clean. Maintenance is good.
