The University was established in 2013 as a Private University under the state University Act, 2012 (Uttarakhand Act No. 11 of 2013), and is located in Dehradun, the capital city of the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
The University has been recognised by the University Grants Commission, Government of India, under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act of 1956, as well as other state and national statutory organisations. Its lush green campus is located on NH-72, Dehradun, India.
