Situated in Dhargal, Pernem, North Goa, near the Manohar International Airport, the institute is affiliated with Goa University and the National Council of Indian Medicine (NCISM). Spread across a 50-acre campus, AIIA Goa is modeled after its apex institute in New Delhi, aiming to provide high-quality education, research, and healthcare in Ayurveda. The institute offers the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) undergraduate program with an intake capacity of 100 students. Additionally, it has introduced 5 new postgraduate courses with 20 seats from the academic session 2024-25. Plans include catering to over 500 students annually across UG, PG, and PhD programs. The campus features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including academic blocks, hostels, and a 250-bed hospital equipped with modern facilities and specialized departments like Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, and Shalya Tantra. The institute emphasizes integrating traditional Ayurvedic practices with contemporary scientific advancements. Admissions to BAMS are based on NEET UG scores, while PG admissions are through AIAPGET via AACCC-PG counseling. AIIA Goa also focuses on promoting medical value tourism, offering specialized Ayurveda wellness packages for international visitors, leveraging Goa's status as a global tourist destination.
