Apex national level institute of speech and hearing . Indian public understand the importance of this institute and Hence there are always lot of people coming here for consultation and solution. One has to follow set procedure of registration, preparation of file and then consultation.Investigation itself is very elaborate mostly done by students make all sophisticated latest machinery.Finally a report is prepared and handed over to the patient along with treatment plant after final consultation with senior doctor.

Good hospital/institute by central government for speech & hearing. Staffs & doctors are well trained & behaved.Very good kids play area inside the campus which helps kids enjoy. Campus is very spacious , greenery. It got good parking for visitors.First time visitors need to be there by 8:30 AM,They issue tokens & start handling based on token order around 9:15 AM .First time registration fee is Rs 40. There will be separate charges for different tests.

Very Nice place for speech and hearing impaired child.Rehabilitation work very well.

Being a government institute, it has its own pros and cons. Good thing is that you can make an appointment online , which is advantageous especially if you are coming from outside of Mysore. Else there is walk in option, but need to come around 8:30am or so, which is when they start issuing tokens. Registration for first timers is required, at nominal rate of Rs 40. Quite slow process, despite 9am appointment they start only around 9:15 or later and by the time you complete registration it's 10am. So do take early appointment else chance is you may have to wait. Lunch is 1-2, so plan accordingly. The staffs were quite helpful and premise is maintained neatly but public toilets need to maintained better. There is a therapy park, which is good for kids.

One of the well maintained hospital I have seen . Very very systematically running this institute.Staffs and pg students are doing great job.Regarding testing and consultation doctors are highly qualified kind and caring towards patients they patiently hear your problems and suggest best solution available .Even the supporting staff guide you inside hospital as it's big infrastructure .we visited audiology department,no doubt they are treating well as we can see huge crowd whole day .overall one should be having patience to get treated in this hospital and i suggest a gaurdian should be present with patient while visiting.

Please visit only for initial Testing. Only that part is good. All procedure takes ages so please plan accordingly. If you are planning buy hearing aid here.. please don't buy. You may get in discounted price but quality wise they are not good. Delivery time is long and if in case you give it for repair it takes even more long time and your kid takes very long time to improve or never improve. I bought signia rechargeable hearing aid and within 1 month it stopped working and we sent for replacement and got it back after a month's time and it worked for week and again stopped working. We had discussion with one of the senior person who says this is the only negative experience which I don't accept coz I have paid for the benefit of my kid not just to play a game just bcoz hearing aid is within warranty time. It's been 5 months now we sent already twice and second time after one month they have got new box without a charger. There is alot of communication gap with in insitute and many are so rude. If we enquire about the status they say that we are torturing them. Really pathetic. My suggestion please buy hearing aid outside. My kid has improved a lot just coz we had bought hearing aid initially in private hearing aid center. Must say chandrashekhar institute was far better than this.

Very neatly maintained campus

Good centre for speech issues . . . On first day with lots of assessments in different dept to diagnose the problems and they offer therapy by well qualified trainers as demonstration (10day) or regular session (3month).Try to come on first day by 8am and sit in front rows wherever seat available. 8:30 security will start providing tokens bench wise.Since it is government initiative, fees are negligible. I pay RS 250 for assessments & Rs 1000 for 10days OT&ST therapy.
