Andaman Law College is widely recognized for its commitment to legal education in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Established in 2016 under the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Legal Education Society, it is a government institution fully funded by the Administration. The college is affiliated with the prestigious Pondicherry University, a Central University, and holds approval from the Bar Council of India. Situated in Port Blair, South Andamans, the college offers a full-time five-year Integrated B.A.LL.B. degree program designed to impart a strong foundation in various legal principles, including constitutional law, criminal law, and contract law. The comprehensive curriculum spans ten semesters, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills through activities like moot court, internships, legal aid clinics, lok adalats, court attendance, and chamber work. The institution aims for holistic legal education, emphasizing court craft and practical skills. The college provides essential infrastructure including a library with an extensive collection of legal resources, a computer lab with internet access, and smart classrooms to support the learning environment. These facilities, along with regular seminars and guest lectures, enhance the teaching-learning process and expand students' understanding of contemporary legal issues. While currently operating from an interim campus in Transport Bhawan, efforts are underway to establish a new campus with modern facilities.
