One of the most well maintained, beautiful and scenic Universities of India, BHU is located just 4.5KMs from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The reason I made a stop here on my trip to Varanasi was to witness the exact replica of Bhagwaan Kashi Vishwanath located inside the University.Man I must say, the temple is spectacular. Spread across an acre, The temple tower is a massive structure standing at over 50 feet from base. The temple itself is made of marble and the interior is pretty neat, well maintained. On the first floor, you'll also find individual temples of Bhagwan Shri Satyanarayana and Bhagwan Bholenaath both of which are made of Marble. If you're lucky, you'll also find a tabla-vaadak tuning his fingers on the tabla in the morning just in front of Bhole baba's temple. The landscape is lush green having few benches to relax and unwind. The surroundings streets of the temple are flocked by hawkers selling garlands, flowers and sweets and plenty parking space for two wheelers.Bottom line, when in Varanasi, you have to visit BHU too.

A very good university, roads are not always properly swept, I feel there should be benches everywhere. All the documentation processes are unnecessarily complicated.

Most beautiful experience, there are several universities which don't hold the goddess of knowledge, this university not only has Vishwanatha linga inside it, it also beholds other deities such as Maa Saraswathi, Ganesh and Hanuman.Cultural heritage is clearly seen on the walls!!

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is an excellent spot to explore after your holy visit to Baba Vishwanath. The beautiful temple within the campus is a major attraction for tourists. Spread across a vast area, the campus also houses IIT-BHU. We reached here by private auto. The temple is spacious, with a sacredly designed Shivling at its center. It features a gallery where visitors can enjoy photography and explore the campus. The surrounding area is well-maintained, clean, and inviting.

Known as The Capital of knowledge, the largest residential university is one and the only one of its kind. You have a range of choices to hone your knowledge. Most of its departments stand up to its reputation and students compete for it as their first choice. Besides it has one of the best health services where people from different regions of India come to avail the benefits. It's also full of flora and fauna that is a boon for environmental protection . It's also a most visited tourist place with a beautiful temple inside. If I say it's difficult to describe this unique University is not wrong. One can only experience it. I am sure everyone will have their own story to tell about it.
