Bhavan's Tripura College of Teacher Education, also known as BTCTE, was established on May 12, 2005, in West Tripura with the vision of offering value-based quality teacher education. Founded under the tutelage of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan with the active support of the Government of Tripura, the college is permanently recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). It holds permanent affiliation with Tripura University, a Central University, for its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program.
