City College provides a friendly and stimulating environment for learning. On offer are a wide choice of undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. At present, 14 subjects are taught at the Honours level. City College draws its academic strength from not only a very rich faculty, but also an excellent library, which received special praise from the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) peer team during its visit to our College. Seminars, workshops and projects further liven up and enrich the academic ambience.

In 2023 I went to this college to give my 3rd semester exam. My experience isn't good in this college. Classrooms and benches are not clean and full of dust. Buildings are old and need proper maintenance. Some teachers should learn how to behave with students. When I went there to give my 3rd semester lcc english exam paper at that time there was a teacher who was insisting on the swift submission of answer sheets during the exam, despite there still being time. When I asked him why he was insisting on submitting the answer sheets when there was still time, he replied that he was hungry and if we handed them in quickly, he could go and eat. I wish to convey a single thought regarding this teacher: if he has secured his position through political means, then there is nothing to say. However, if he has obtained his job by following the proper procedures and passing the examination, he ought to remember that had anyone pressured him in such a manner to submit his answer sheet during the exam, repeating the same phrases, he might not have been able to attain this teaching position today.College should take action against this type of teacher. This type of teacher is very dangerous for students. College should Immediately dismissed him from the job.It deserves 0 star.

City College, one of Kolkata's oldest and most esteemed institutions, provided me with an exceptional college experience.I completed my B.Com Honours degree here, and the Department of Commerce professors were outstanding - always willing to lend a helping hand.but unfortunately, the staff's attitude left a lot to be desired. Some staff members behave as if they're professors themselves, creating unnecessary barriers....

Worst college ever, I am a student of this college, and that's why I have the experience. Please please please don't take admission in this college. This college was a good college once upon a time. But at present, this is the worst college ever. I am talking especially about the principal and office staff. They don't give a f about your career, they just want you to attend the classes and give attendance everyday, that's it. And if you don't follow these, they won't allow you to sit in the end semester exam. It's just a waste of time. Most of the teachers don't even know how to teach properly. They just come and give useless lectures. Don't enter this trap or else you will suffer. Thank you.
