The Government College of Education Jammu established in 1954, has been constantly moving forward. It is the only government educational institution imparting teacher education in Jammu region. The college offers B.Ed and M.Ed (02 year) courses with the intake capacity of 200 and 29 respectively. Three year B.Ed-M.Ed integrated course after P.G has been started this year. Right from its inception the college has been a hub of academic, socio-cultural and intellectual activities. It always stood strong and high to prepare its stakeholders to embrace broad educational outlook and is striving hard towards excellence both in human resource development and infrastructure. The college as a team consists of staff and students along with other stake holders. It upholds itself as a model to impart social values besides teaching learning process. It is rendering excellent service to the cause of student’s community in general and the cause of women empowerment in particular by marking its presence on the boards of merit in the university examination results, co-curricular activities and sports. Now, it is a constituent college of Cluster University Jammu.

Don’t think it’s a educational institution now.Teacher(s) 👩🏫 uses this place now for their personal motto/interest/deeds. Without thinking about other person’s interest. Such person(s) is/are Real disgust for educational institutions.And just see what they did recently. As this institute published a booklet in which some deserving students were missed. Instead of that giving to preferences to the new ones who just joined this place.Felt heart broken 😞

Gcoe provides 2yr bed program .two yr med and integrated med program. Its situated centre of the city near canal road jammu.faculty was experienced here.so dnt worry about study. Campus condition was not really good. Administration work going on old buildings. There is no placement. Its take admission on the basis of entrance exam .Exam was conducted by jkbopee.

Poor management. Finding ways how to take advantages from students to do official works rather than done by their own staff members.Latest thing came to know about this institution that Sports teacher (Mandeep Singh) was in dispute with NSS on today’s run for clean, green city. And now took flag hoisting event which will going to happen on 15aug2021.Students were never been to the sports room as did not let students to use sports equipments.

Fees is less here as compared to private colleges but you will get seat here after qualifying JKBopee exam.....
