Government Art College, Chandigarh, a sanctuary where creativity breathes and imaginations soar. The campus, a canvas of inspiration, resonates with the whispers of artistic expression. Studios, each a sanctuary for diverse mediums, echo with the rhythm of brushes and the fragrance of colors. The corridors, adorned with student masterpieces, tell tales of passion and evolution. Here, under the guidance of seasoned mentors, artistic souls find their voice and style. The atmosphere nurtures experimentation, pushing boundaries while honoring tradition. Government Art College is not just an institution; it's a symphony of artistic exploration, where each stroke is a step towards self-discovery and the creation of timeless visual poetry.

Such a horrible college, very disappointed. I applied here for a master's and submitted all the required documents. Then, just 10 days before my exam, I got a call saying I needed to submit my marks again, even though I had already done so. The woman on the call was blaming me and asking personal questions. I even reached out to my previous college to sort things out, but in the end, they still denied my documents. It's clear they don't want students from outside. It was a complete waste of money, and they don't care about students who come from far away. They just don't want to give admission and make excuses. It's the worst college and faculty. People from outside, don't apply here—they only favor their own.

Worst experience in this college. I went there for interview for MFA with all my documents, the office staff and teachers don't even recognise original documents and on the day of interview they had sent me to bring my marksheets from shimla even after submitting them and they had given me one day time for bringing them. I came back the next day with all my documents and submitted them and then also my name was not anywhere in the merit list. It seems like they wanted me to kick out of this list. Worst college and staff, they should not call students for interview or should be correctly told in the prospectous about the documents you should carry. All documents were there with me but then also they refused. They are misguiding students and they want them to run to there colleges on the day of interview to bring documents in one day and attest them so that they will not return so that they can kick them out from admissions. They don't even think that students are coming from far away places seeking admissions in your college, spending so much money in travelling, living and other things. Wasting the time of students, worst college in northern india .No proper system for admissions. They just kick out half of the students without any reason after calling you for interview in chandigarh.
