A college with a lot of legacy built in colonial style. The campus is green and gives a soothing atmosphere. But it could be properly maintained. New buildings are also there. Classrooms are just fine. The office staffs were well behaving and helpful.

Also known as H.H. Maharaja’s College of Arts, this institution is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala, inaugurated 100 years ago in 1924. The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Its architecture distinctly reflects the features of the Travancore era. Situated away from the town, the campus exudes a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the college serves as a center for various exams, including PSCs and UPSC.Despite its historical legacy, the college is not being well-maintained. The student union seems disinterested in keeping the campus clean. Visitors are greeted by a large banner of the SFI at the entrance, along with two oversized cutouts of Che Guevara and Abhimanyu placed on the stairs. Party names are scrawled here and there, contributing to the overall untidiness. As a regular government college, the campus is not cleaned properly; leaves litter the ground, and spiderwebs hang on the walls. It’s essential for the union and students to step forward and ensure the college remains neat and clean.

Because of the fact that I had first hand experience with this college, I would say its a good one. But many would say otherwise too. If I remember right, its called the redfort of SFI. and that exact point is the peculiarity of this college. Those who support the left certainly will have a thriving time here. N those who support any other faction may feel the brunt of petty politics. N I have seen some ruthless student leaders forcing everystudent in the college to be a part of strikes or kharavos (don't know if its the right spelling). And if you refuse that's another story. The infrastructure is really awesome, with its spacious class rooms and all. Library is OK. English department do have its own library which is well maintained too.. They offer both pg and ug. It retains some of that old charm still.

Visited there for an exam. Colonial style old buildings. Built during the British rule. There are new buildings also. Those of you know University college, this college also looks like that. Even though it is situated in the Trivandrum city, it is on a less busy street. No big grounds. A small playing grounds is there for small group games.Overall a nice and green atmosphere.

A decently maintained heritage building. The old colonial style building is still in its glory with abundant green woods around. It has got a nice open space auditorium and a mini hall with sufficient seating capacity. Wooden crafts including that of principal's cabin is too good to see. The stairs are magnificent. Corridors adds elegancy. Some cut outs, wall drawings including graffiti and paintings could have avoided.
