The architecture is too good to recall 'Thiruvithamcor era'. When we stay in front we will be confused about the time ( will bring our memories to hundred years back). Lot of maintenance required to keep the building perfectly. At present it looks like 'devil's banglaw' . The authorities should work hard to bring it in good shape.

One of the oldest teacher education colleges in Thiruvananthapuram. It is the only government teacher education college in South Kerala. It is affiliated to the University of Kerala. The college comes under the administrative control of the Department of Higher education and collegiate education, Government of Kerala. The afmisdiin is based of merit and reservation as per Government rules. The college maintains standards in the quality of the outgoing teacher community. The college organizes a large number of National seminars The, workshops, symposia, and many other community level programmes as well. Many community projects are organized by the student teachers. The college was accredited A by NAAC in 2016. The college functions as a model teacher education institute and provides an academic environment conducive for teaching, learning, research, extension and consultancy. This forms the fundamental mission of the institution. The classrooms are huge and ict based.
