Pavate then Vice-Chancellor of Karnatak University, Dharwad. This is a constituent College of Karnatak University, Dharwad and approved by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(B). Smt. Sulabha Panadikar was the first Principal of this College in the year 1962-64, who was the one of the members of Kothari Education Commission Report (1964-66). This is Co-Educational College and provides pre-service training to the secondary school teachers. This institution is catering the needs of the secondary school teachers, teacher-educators and administrative officers of Karnataka State. The products of this institution are working in the institutions of throughout India and also in Abroad.
