Karnataka State Open University- Reviews

As per me this is fake university, as i had started my B tech in 2014 from distance from KSOU, and i did till third year. In last year they all were hold everything.If this university is actual for distance learning, then please resolve my issue. if somebody wants my 2nd year results i can share but first, please resolve my issues.

No proper food facility, no good stayMy wife is gone there for practicals classes and examsThe staff there from lower to higher hierarchy all are speaking like third class people. He is telling next time you build a house to stay here. The rooms are so shabby, no cleanliness and still students are ready to pay for a stay and this is how they treat. The university where classes happen lift their hands up saying it's not coming under them.From the gate to walk in is so long and terrible. There are no shops, no food. Please reconsider if you want to study here.No cleaning of rooms, no waste basket, AC not working, rats in and around and so the guy brings rat trap and hands it over.3000 rs for 3 days and he wants only Cash!

The University has an amazing campus. Has a decent guest house and hostels for both boys and girls. The administrative and Convocation building is highly decorated and well maintained. Surroundings are also fine. The faculties are a bit weak compared to the other universities in the state.

Full of greenary surrounding, good environment for people who came for distance education, NAAC A+ accredited, happy walking around the campus

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is a distance learning university founded in 1996, located in Mysore in the Indian state of Karnataka.KSOU started as the Institute of Correspondence Course and Continuing Education, a wing of University of Mysore. It was formally established on June 1st, 1996 under the Karnataka State Open University Act of 1992, with the objective of introducing and promoting the system of open university and distance learning in the state of Karnataka.The university hosts 13 departments managed by 57 faculty members. It offers programmes leading to degrees from the graduate level to the doctoral level and offers a variety of diploma and certificate programmes.Karnataka State Open University is situated on 36 acres along the Mysore-Mangalore highway, in the Manasagangotri campus of the University of Mysore. It is about 5 km from the city centre. University headquarters houses administrative offices, the academic block, lecture halls, library, cottages for students coming for examinations and contact programmes, and necessary amenities such as post-office, bank and canteen.

Money making University. Please don't waste your precious time by joining this university. Quality of education is very poor. No proper response to the students queries. Study material is worst and for exams many questions will not come from textbook for that you are losing marks. Because as students they can't write out of the book in correspondence because in this university no classes will be conducted. While joining they are giving fake promises to students that they will conduct classes. But till now full portion is not completed and revision they have not done.As a commerce student what I'll say is for accounting subject we need classes otherwise we can't understand the subject at all. But the lectures are not bothered about that. They are just doing their job for name sake. I don't know how this university is survived these years. So many negative news about this university. Feeling very sad after joining this university. Worst experience in my life. Simply wasted my money and time.

Rude behavior of the staffs they dont know how to handle students who come for the exams .....as my friend went for exams and she wanted to stay in guest house there which is not at all clean and not in good condition they were not treated her well ..... We have right to use that accommodation facility ...they should learn how to treat people coming from distant places

Very good, and excellent, good and so safety for girls . So nice weather, neat and clean so hygiene. Beautiful garden maintained. Very very well useful library... I am really like that place ☺️ thank you for ksou....... ❤️
