The institute is currently operating from temporary campus located in Shillong. But with such a small campus also; institute is doing very well. Research is very good and all the teachers are sincere and hardworking. They are giving their best to the students. Placements are also very good.

National Institute of Science and Technology is located in Laitumkhrah, Shillong (approximately 4 km from City Centre-Police Bazar). It is good college. It is the temporary campus and permanent campus is being built in Cherrapunjee (approximately 60 km from Shillong).

The old infrastructure of office and classrooms are not up to the level of NIT, although it's going to shift to the new campus soon.

I was thinking this collage as a good collageBut after seeing this vedios of protest (https://youtu.be/BrjbmeqkNMM?si=D9XDgDkyJ79Wcf5m) by the studentsI drop the idea to take admetion . High package salary is not more important than my life .If a collage management can not help and protect his students it must be assame of itself .I am not able to understand why the are taking lakhs of fee if the students are not safe in campus ,sorry ( little campus)

I work here and it has good work culture. Surrounded by greenery we strive to excel in our small ways. A relatively young institute that started practically in 2012, it has made its mark in nirf rankings. The permanent campus is coming up in Sohra (Cherrapunji)

Nice college but lack of its own campus, also all facilities is not provided in this college.I got this college in 5th round of jossa year 2018 in CSE branch. But I did not freeze this college, as this college is not bad.But according to me this college is something lack that is, it's own campus, clubs, it's own auditorium and much more. But Acedamics is nice, also placement of this college is nice.My many friends have been studying here, so I know much well about this college. The location of this college is awesome, place is awesome.

NIT Meghalaya is a decent institute as par as studies are concerned. You will have ample of chance to study and learn new stuffs, being a new institute you get a lot of stuffs and initiatives to be done and handled single handy which gives another chance not only to learn and showcase your skills but also to use it in future for organizing similar stuffs in future.Being a MeghNITe , it was always a cutting edge for me in interviews and people used to literally appreciate the exposure I had even from being a remote located college of India ( though it was not pretty different to what a normal NITian would had in other NIT).If you do same thing in limited resources to what your competitor does with ample of resources, even having same outcome it’s more likely to get appreciated and this is what happens when you are studying at new NIT.Coming to infrastructure : NIT M has decent labs ( comparable to even many of old IITs ) ,mix of youth ,energetic and quite experienced pool of faculties , prime location and technically sound students as college.I would suggest to go ahead with decision and consider it a fair Chance to study at NITM (Provided you do not have any better option).
