It was in 2000, that I was a student of this college for a short time. It was a wild decision to join this college in Physics Honours course while none of my school male classmates remained in Dhanbad. It was a disaster for me.Those days the infrastructure was hardly what it appears now. There was a book lending counter but with less books and in poor condition. No library for students to sit and refer to books. Teachers were good. However classes were not regularly conducted due to poor attendance of students. Perhaps tutions were a priority for both students and teachers. Being a state government college, one could not expect much in terms of building, classroom or campus.However, it seems like development has happened all these years. The management needs to put in more effort to retain the talents of Dhanbad. Though traditional science, humanities courses are important, technological and management courses are also a popular choice. Due to lack of good courses and colleges a big chunk of students leave Dhanbad each year. Marketing or advertisement of the college is often neglected by management. Not sure if it's possible but maybe every college like PKRM in Dhanbad could be mentored by a retired Chairman or Dean of a NAAC A+ or above Institution. They have great experience that may help present and future management of college.

Pk Roy memorial College dhanbad is located at main road NH-18..beside the campus of IIT DHANBAD.Here almost education faculty are available.Not a big campus but not bad..garden environment surrounded of campus..and cafe and small restaurant are available here for people..

Not a single thing here is good ❌•teachers doing timepass, teachers are not well trained to handle, control, maintain classrooms. Teachers comes college to collect student for their tution.•you ill not be informed about examination, opening/closure of college.•office staff will not provide you any info about admission they redirect to college website for info. Not a single stapler pin they will provide.•as a result classroom become unhygienic, shouting, playing music in classroom, using abusive language, and more !• till now i am searching at least one thing 🥲BE CAREFULif you re searching for well maintained college because this college will provide only DEGREE to you ONLY!
