Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, commonly known as RTMNU or Nagpur University, is a premier public state university located in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Established in 1923 by the Government of Central Provinces Education Department, it stands as one of India's oldest universities and the second oldest in Maharashtra. The university is governed by the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, and is recognized by the UGC.
