SMIT, situated in a hilly area is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a top-notch academic experience in a beautiful and inspiring setting. The combination of stunning natural beauty, modern facilities, and a commitment to sustainability and community involvement make it a truly unique and exceptional place to study. The campus itself is equally impressive, boasting state-of-the-art facilities and modern amenities that provide students with everything they need to succeed. The library is well-stocked with an extensive collection of books and digital resources, providing students with ample opportunities for research and study. There are plenty of extracurricular activities to keep students engaged and entertained outside of the classroom. The campus also offers a variety of clubs and organizations, from music and theater groups to coding clubs and social service organizations.

Well I got admitted to SMIT and I must say, this is one of the most beautiful campuses North East India possesses. The lush green campus, surrounded by River Teesta on one side and Northern Mountains on other, it gives a pleasant atmosphere for students to gain knowledge. All in all this place is such a beauty. The faculties here too are very supportive in nature ❤️

Student's voices are numbed. Their conditions are not fulfilled. Their situations goes unheard. Follws very traditional syllabus patterns.Has no limit for taking admissions(it goes on till end of semester), anyone can be admitted without prior eligibility and knowledge.Teachers get rude nonsensely.

About This college I would like to say that teacher are very talented and good in behaviour. They are helping nature. And as we know that manipal is a brand in the world because mircosoft CEO Satya Nadella sir also studied from Manipal. If you are planning to take admission in BTech then this college is fantastic but if you trying to take admission in BCA then it will be sad for you because there are no placement support and internship support. You have to find the off-campus placement and internship. About the location:-. I would like to inform you that there are not too much shop and the road are not good . So please research properly about the location.Thank you ❤️

Mesmerising campus with serene natural beauty all around. It's a perfect Institute for the purpose of studies coz of the peaceful environment. The faculties are awesome and the placement percentage growth has increased above 96% since 2017. The campus is surrounded by top class facilities from Marena - the sports complex to swimming pool to gym and what not. Highly recommended to all the technical aspirants.

The location of the institution is breathtaking. You would want to study here. It's in between the mountains and the Rangeet River. Very calm surroundings. The facilities within the college vicinity is ok.

Being a pass out from this college who has spent one extra year do you a year back, believe what I say. This place is not for people for are outdoorsy. Not much you can do here, besides maybe trek and roam around. Every simple job, even going outside the campus from the hostel is a task in itself. The nearest place to eat Maggie is about 1.5kms from the hostel. If you somehow decide to stay outside, ie renting a room, you'll face frequent blackouts. Most buildings outside don't get reception properly and it's even more of a task to get to class, about 2 to 3 kms, depending on where you live. But the college has great placement, specially for CSE and IT Departments. Companies like Amazon, Dell, Cognizant etc hire lots of students. Mechanical and Civil departments do struggle a bit to get jobs tho.So in conclusion, I'll suggest you not to take admission in this college if you're planning to 'have fun'. Ofcourse the local girls and guys are very beautiful but it won't keep you entertained for long.Being one of the easier exams to crack, Manipal is a popular name amongst freshers, but i would suggest you to go to MAHE MANIPAL(Mangalore) if possible.
