Low cost access to high quality education is the most important motto here. Got 49th rank in the NIRF announced by MHRD in the year 2022. 10 departments Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Commerce, English, Computer Science, Micro Biology and Management Studies are research centres. The college has almost all PG programs including MBA and MCA. A coeducational autonomous pre independent college affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. Started on 11.08.1947. It has a wide greenary campus of 145 acres. Has all extra curricular activities include NSS, NCC, YRC, RRC, fine arts etc. Have a 400 mtr field, concrete basketball court, tennis courts, indoor stadium, volleyball, kabadi grounds. Have short range firing wall. Around 4000 students are studying in the college. College has more than 100 staff members with Ph. D degreeholders. Has separate hostel facility for both boys and girls. Have very good infrastructure facility in the college. Students received more than 1100 placement offer letters in the year 2020. Conducting campus interviews. Students are regularly placed in the Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd

I had a disappointing experience at VHNSN College, especially in the BCA and MCA programs. The college lacks proper educational and career support, making it a poor choice for students who want to build a future in IT.Major Issues Faced:1️⃣ 0% Campus Placements & Career Support – The college offers no campus recruitment opportunities. No reputed IT companies visit for placements, and students are left without guidance on career growth, internships, or job opportunities.2️⃣ Outdated Syllabus – The syllabus is very old and irrelevant to today’s industry standards. There is no focus on modern technologies like AI, cloud computing, full-stack development, or cybersecurity.3️⃣ Old & Poorly Maintained Labs – The computer labs are outdated with slow, old systems running outdated software. Many computers are either non-functional or have obsolete configurations, making it hard to practice real-world programming.4️⃣ Unupdated Staff & Traditional Teaching Methods – Most faculty members do not update their knowledge with industry trends. They continue to teach outdated programming languages and rely on theoretical teaching instead of practical learning and real-time projects.5️⃣ Poor Management & Infrastructure – The administration does not respond to student concerns, and the infrastructure, including classrooms and labs, is poorly maintained.6️⃣ Strict & Unnecessary Rules – The college enforces unnecessary restrictions that limit students' ability to explore, learn, and gain industry-relevant skills. There is no encouragement for hackathons, workshops, or innovation.Final Verdict:❌ If you are serious about a career in IT, software development, or programming, I strongly recommend choosing a better college that provides modern courses, updated faculty, industry-standard labs, and placement opportunities.❌ VHNSN College is NOT a good choice for BCA & MCA students.

This college is one of the worst I have experienced. I studied in the MBA department (2021 batch), and the department's HOD was the worst teacher, always showing partiality toward certain students. The teaching quality of the staff in my department was very poor, and most of them were unqualified professors. During semester exams, papers were evaluated unfairly, and many students were forced to take repeat exams. For example, one of my Senior, despite completing college, still had arrears because exams were either not evaluated properly or marks were assigned incorrectly.The college website is also poorly maintained; on result days, the server often crashes. I strongly advise against joining this college. Attending this institution feels like being in jail they treated me like a prisoner. Do not join this college.

Good college providing education in the field of arts and science.Experienced faculties.Gym, playground, swimming pool facilities are also available.Swimming pool is open for public also.They provide campus placements also.But the drawback is they don't push or motivate students to get placed in companies.

Iam 2004 pass out student.My college one of the top arts and science college in Virudhunagar district. Our Tamil department Staffs are always friendly to students. Well equipped with a library and laboratories for every department.

I have studied BSc and MSc(Physics)1988-1993. Good hostel facility and library also. Thanks to my college.
