West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Science (WBUAFS) is comes under State Agricultural University (SAU) category. This is the only University in West Bengal which deals with Animal Science, Dairy Technology and Fishery sectors. The main campus is at Belgachia, Kolkata and another campus is at Mouanpur, Nadia. University is equipped with a very good Central Library, KISAN Abas and newly developed Community Hall.

This institute is situated just beside of the Belgachia metro station. This is comes under State Agricultural University. The main campus is this, present at Belgachia and another campus is present at Mohanpur, Nadia. This institute is very spacious surrounded by many trees.

Worst experience ever.... please don't take ur pets there otherwise u have to regret like me.... Doctors don't have any knowledge about animals, u can't believe they don't even know where is the stomach after seeing the X-ray plate..... i don't know where they r studied from!They don't have any knowledge about veterinary and medicines!!Take ur pets some other place not here..... otherwise u will regret like me ..

I have no idea about the academic excellence of the institution, but as for the hospital and clinic it isn't efficient.They do not do thorough check up. I lost two of my children (dogs) trusting them.I took a dog who was run over by a big car. I asked them 1000 times to check for internal damages. They didn't check. They just did an x-ray and said everything else was fine except the hip bone. The dog started having tremors within 24 hours and died.This is just one case.West Bengal needs better hospitals for our loved pets and loved strays.
