Established in 1977, the Zoological Survey of India, Andaman & Nicobar Regional Centre, located in Port Blair, serves as a key regional station of the premier Zoological Survey of India. This government research institution is dedicated to the extensive survey, exploration, and documentation of the diverse and often endemic fauna found across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and their surrounding marine environments.
