Alliance University.Happened to visit the University for some official work. It is about 65 km away from the airport. The campus is close to the Tamil Nadu border.Very well-maintained campus with large number of trees, and well-kept lawns and gardens. The main office is an imposing structure. The library with over 100,000 books is also very well arranged. Saw a huge display of books written by faculty of the institution.Had a chance to visit the engineering department. The lobby looks more like the lobby of a five-star rated hotel. They have labs created in association with various organizations for game development and one in association with Apple for app development. They have an excellent restaurant on campus operated by the Sukh Sagar group. Another canteen for students, called the food court is also available. Food is quite good. Rates are also quite reasonable compared to rates in Bangalore.Met many members of the faculty team. They are extremely dynamic. Lot of developmental works, new campuses and new programmes are being planned after Dr. Priestly Shan has taken over as the new Vice Chancellor. The campus also provides electric buggies to take a visitor around. There is a well-appointed guest house near the main office.Uber cabs are easily available from the campus to travel to the city.

As students of Alliance University, we are deeply concerned about the recent decision to make the summer term mandatory. While we value academic growth, this move eliminates our only extended break—a crucial time for rest, internships, family, and personal development. Moreover, the additional financial pressure of staying on campus during the summer term—covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses—is a significant burden for many students and their families. We sincerely hope the university administration will reconsider this policy and offer a more flexible, optional approach to better support student well-being and individual goals.
