I, Pavan Kumar, an artist educated at Sir JJ School of Art and Architecture, Mumbai, conduct art and sculpture workshops in various media for students in reputed colleges across the country. I have had the pleasure of recently conducting a workshop on design and development of full-scale furniture through cardboard at Ashoka School of Planning and Architecture. I am pleased to share my review of the School. The Faculty are highly educated and experienced in their respective fields of specialization such as Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Housing, Conservation, etc. Faculty from top Universities and Institutions in the world such as Cambridge, IIT Chicago, CEPT (Ahmedabad), SPAs, JJ School of Architecture (Mumbai) teach here. The permanent exhibition space at the School epitomizes and showcases the work of students across all semesters of the B.Arch Program. The Library is stocked with more than 4,000 books and journals – the space is very well designed to enhance concentration and memory retention. The Construction Yard, Material Museum, 3D Printing Laboratory, Model Making Workshop, and Computer Labs are among the finest in the country. I strongly recommend students to study the B.Arch Program at Ashoka School of Planning and Architecture, and rate the School 10/10 on academic excellence, campus life, and placements/career prospects.

“Learning by Doing—That’s What ASPA is All About!” I’m genuinely impressed by how Ashoka School of Planning and Architecture gives students a chance to truly experience what architecture is all about. If you ever worry that studying ends up as just reading books and memorizing diagrams, this place is the exact opposite! At ASPA, students get to visit real project sites, see how designs come to life, and learn about materials and construction up close. It’s such a big difference when you see and touch what you’re studying — suddenly, all the classroom lessons just make sense. And building models? ASPA totally encourages it! Nothing beats the thrill of making your own structures, testing ideas, and learning hands-on every step of the way. The way they actually let you work with materials like brick and timber—understanding things like seasoning and construction methods practically—is something I wish every architecture student could experience. It honestly prepares you for the real work world, not just exams. There’s also a super supportive vibe around competitions. ASPA motivates students to join architecture contests from all over India so you can test your skills, learn from other students, and really push yourself creatively. Really, a massive shout-out to Principal Ms. Kalpana and Director Dr. Raghavendra. The care and vision they put into the place means you’re not just picking up skills—you’re building your future as an architect with confidence and heart. In short, if you’re looking for a school where learning is hands-on, fun, and seriously inspiring, ASPA is the one to check out!
