CFTRI Mysore is an excellent hub for learning and innovation in food technology. The campus is well-maintained, with a peaceful environment perfect for focusing on training and research. I attended a short-term training course here and found the faculty highly knowledgeable and supportive. The state-of-the-art facilities and hands-on approach made the learning experience both practical and engaging. The sessions are well-structured, and the course content is very informative, providing insights into the latest developments in the field. Overall, CFTRI offers an enriching experience for anyone looking to enhance their knowledge in food science and technology. Highly recommended!

It was built by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar-IV for the third princess of Mysore - Cheluvajammanni and it is similar to other mansions built by them which are spread over a large area surrounded by gardens. This mansion is crafted like other buildings of the Wadiyar dynasty. Now this mansion is home to the premier research institute of the country, Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI).CFTRI is one of the constituent laboratories under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It was officially established on 21 October 1950 by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.A great educational institution under CSIR.
