In the year 1946, Vaish College,Rohtak was established under the umbrelaa of VES, Rohtak to impart meaningful education. After independence and due to partition of the country students from Haily College of Commerce, Lahore joined the college for commerce education. During the courses of evolution the college has expanded itself into multi-faculty institution offering under graduate as well as post graduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. The college is affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. It is also recognized by UGC, New Delhi under section 2(f) & 12(b) and is receiving development assistance under different schemes. Hence already in its 69th year the college is now a Post Graduate college with PG classes in Math, Commerce and Computer Science. M.Sc. Phyiscs and M.Sc Chemistry courses are in the pipe line. The College is an aided College getting regular Aid from Govt. of Haryana. Presently the number of aided teaching faculty is 40. The eminent persons of the Vaish Community were not satisfied with the educational backwardness of this area and hence they established Vaish Sabha in 1918. Babu Shyam Lal Jain Advocate invited the father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi Ji and foundation stone of Vaish High School was laid on 16.02.1921 by the father of the Nation Shri Mahatma Gandhi Ji. Presently, the Society is running 12 educational institutions, some of which are government aided. Society also runs one hospital on its campus for the welfare of staff, students & general public. There are 25,000 life members in the society. There are 15000 students & 1500 staff members in the institutions run by it with a campus spread over 85 acres in the center of the Rohtak
