Student Reviews & Testimonials
This is Acharya girish Chandra bose college, formerly known as bangabashi college of commerce, not bangabashi morning college. Now the college part, the teachers are very supportive and good, library is also filled with everything you need, library staffs are great .
**COLLEGE FOUNDATION DAY : 4th OCTOBER, 1964 Foundation of ACHARYA GIRISH CHANDRA BOSE COLLEGE ** The College, Acharya Girish Chandra Bose, Formerly Bangabasi College of Commerce is affiliated to 'The University of Calcutta, West Bengal'. It is affiliated to 3 year Degree course in Commerce (General & Hons) and 3 year Degree Course in English & Bengali (Hons.). Late Acharya Girish Chandra Bose, the eminent educationist and great Social Reformer, was the founder of Bangabasi College. He established the institutions - 'Bangabasi School' (1885 AD.) and 'Bangabasi College' (1887 AD.), with the sole objective of promoting the cause of education in Bengal during the nineteenth century renaissance in India. After the independence of India in 1947 A.D. there was an influx of young talents from the then East Bengal (now Bengladesh) and elsewhere. In order to accommodate them as well as to ease the tremendous pressure of admission to the College three new shifts like Morning, Evening and Commerce had to be opened. Ultimately following the Phase Reduction Scheme of U.G.C., the three independent shifts were converted into (1) Bangabasi Morning College, (2) Bangabasi Evening College housed in the same complex of Bangabasi College and (3) Bangabasi College of Commerce housed in the premises of Bangabasi Collegiate School, on the 11th April, 1965.
This college official name is Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College. It is also known as Bangabasi of Commerce.
Professors are very friendly to all. The only problem is those 'office guys'! They are too slow, also their Management isn't good Edit: I just graduated at 2022, again saying, except those buro office staffs. Everything is fine
