Government Ayurveda College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram is the pioneer institute of quality Ayurveda education as well as quality Ayurveda treatment in Kerala... It was established in the year 1889 by the erstwhile Maharaja of Travancore, Sree Mulam Thirunnal Rama Varma... It is located in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city, functioning in an aesthetically designed building... This most ancient institution disseminates classical Ayurveda education, classical Ayurveda treatment and promotes research... The college is recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine(CCIM) and affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS)... The outpatient department has newly acquired some maintenance as well... There is a lot of parking space for two-wheelers and very few available for others... There are medical shops on the premises, run by the hospital staff... There, we will get almost all the brands of Ayurvedic medicines, except the Government brand Oushadhi, which is quite a negative... Though, they will give a 10% discount for all the brands... There is a new building for the pay-in ward also...

Received good treatment for my wife’s IVDP , Special thanks to Dr. Sivakumar & team. The nursing staff were very helpful throughout the hospitalisation period. New block is the pay-ward & cleanliness is maintained. We were lucky to get the room in pay-ward section . you will have to wait to get admission in the pay-ward as there are already patients who have booked their slot & it is only available once any patient gets discharged (single room is good but only few rooms have western toilet ) deluxe is of no use as the charges are same but no western toilet but treatment charges will differ compared to single room. there is also super deluxe only 2 rooms that has AC & western toilet (but no use as in ayurvedic treatment doctors won’t recommend to use AC) overall hospital is good compared to private hospitals as charges are very economical.
