Student Reviews & Testimonials
ABHIJITH ARUN
Choosing this university was one of the most disappointing decisions of my academic life. The administration continues to ignore student welfare by refusing to update outdated policies. While the 2024 scheme has seen improvements in syllabus and credit requirements, students under the 2019 scheme are left behind and treated unfairly. There’s a huge disparity in credit requirements: 2019 scheme students need 21 credits for S5 and 47 credits for S7, whereas the 2024 scheme students need only 18 credits for S5 and 37 credits for S7. Why such discrimination? This directly impacts our academic progress and mental health. The revaluation process is another scam — ₹600 charged per subject. Many students receive low marks not due to performance, but seemingly to force revaluation. Some barely pass after revaluation, purely based on luck. At the time of sem registration, there was no clarity on whether May–June exam marks would be considered, causing confusion and potential year-back situations. This kind of disorganized and unfair system is seriously affecting students’ mental health. As of now, the university has a review rating of just 1.8, and it's easy to understand why. Education should be about empowering students — not punishing them with flawed systems and lack of transparency.

If you value your mental peace, career, and time, avoid KTU at all costs. This university is a masterclass in mismanagement, with an administration that seems to exist solely to make students’ lives miserable. Exam Delays & Result Fiascos: Be prepared to wait months for results, only to find errors that the university refuses to correct. Supplementary exams? Good luck, they’ll be scheduled in the most inconvenient way possible. Useless Curriculum: Outdated syllabus, impractical subjects, and zero industry relevance. You’ll graduate knowing things that no company cares about. Clueless Administration: Need help with anything? The response will either be "we don't know" or "check the website", where information is either missing or contradicting. Revaluation Scam: Want to contest your results? Pay a hefty fee, wait for ages, and get back the same marks. They rarely make changes, no matter how obvious the mistakes are. Zero Student Support: No career guidance, no proper internships. You are on your own.

This university has significant shortcomings that negatively impact students' academic progress and overall experience. One of the major concerns is the poor evaluation system. Despite implementing a triple valuation method for exams, the accuracy of paper assessment remains unreliable, leading to incorrect grading and frustration among students. Furthermore, MCA students do not have the option for revaluation, unlike B.Tech students, which limits their ability to contest unfair results and affects their academic growth. Another critical issue is the shortened semester duration. While a typical semester should span six months, students here receive only 3.5 to 4 months. This reduced timeframe severely impacts the depth of learning, leaving students with inadequate preparation and rushed coursework. The university's handling of its academic structure does not support a strong educational foundation, making it difficult for students to excel. The financial policies of this university raise further concerns. It appears to prioritize revenue generation over student success, creating an environment that feels more exploitative than educational. Students are subjected to financial burdens without receiving the quality education they expect in return. The administration and management of only reinforce these problems with inefficient and ineffective practices that make navigating the system difficult for students. This university does not seem to have a genuine commitment to its students' growth and future. Instead of fostering academic excellence and career development, it focuses solely on financial gain. Given these concerns, prospective students should carefully reconsider their options and seek institutions that uphold strong academic standards, fair assessment policies, and a dedication to student success.

One of the worst mistakes that you can make in your life is to join KTU university. Their only goal is to suck you dry of your life. They dont care about the students. They only care about themselves and thier paycheks. So please try to join diffrent universities and try to save your money
