Bishop Moore College(established in 1964), Kallumala is one of the best Arts and science college in Kerala with lot of courses offered and have excellent facilities, extraordinary faculties and is very eco-friendly too. It was one of the best College of Kerala University. An aided college in Mavelikkara, Alappuzha, Kerala,India, affiliated with the University of Kerala. The college ranked 76 in NIRF 2020. The college was accredited by NAAC with an "A" Grade in 2017.The college is managed by the Madhya Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India, and offers so many undergraduate programs, five postgraduate programs, and two research programs. It is located at Kallumala, Mavelikara.

Bishop Moore College came in to shape at Kallumala, Mavelikara in the Alapuzha District of Kerala. It was started in 1964 as a junior College providing facilities for the two years Pre-degree course of the University of Kerala. The founders of the College had only the words of St. Mathew in Chapter 5 of verse 14 & 15(You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house) to give expression to their vision of the College at Mavelikara.
